Houston Port and Ship Channel Trip - Tentative

TAMU COPRI will be taking a field trip to the Port of Houston for tours of the facilities and the ship channel. We will be exposed to and overview and the logisitics of running on of the largest ports in the nation.

This event is tentatively scheduled for this date, more information will come later. We will be leaving for Houston early on friday morning and carpooling to the port.

Super Science Techno Night

TAMU COPRI will be attending the Super Techno Science Night at Southwood Valley Elementary in College Station.

This is a night when elementary school kids walk around to learn about different exhibits from science and engineering departments.  We will have our miniature wave tank on display like last year. If you want to help out just email us back at copri@copri.tamu.edu

 

Galveston Wetland Restoration Trip

On Friday, March 25th several members of COPRI were invited to join HDR/Shiner-Mosely on a site visit of wetland restoration and protection project that occured on Galveston Island. Ten members were taken out via boat to inspect the project that had been completed in November of 2010. Many thanks to Lauren Augustin of HDR and Cherie O'Brien of the Texas Parks and Wildlife for facilitating the tour.

Meet at Hydrolab at 3:50 PM

Join us next monday afternoon, September 20th, for a visit to the Haynes Coastal Engineering Laboratory. We will be meeting outside of the Hydrolab at 3:50 PM to carpool over to west campus. There will be a tour of the facility as well as a demonstration of the labs wave generating capabilities.
